Pradushan Nahin Dilli Ki Pehchaan…
Dil Hai Dilli Hamari Jaan
I want to breathe better in Delhi
I believe clean air will come from the choices we all make together. I can switch fuels or change cars, but what really shapes the air I breathe is how my city moves every single day.
In Delhi, getting around shouldn’t feel like a risk or a struggle. Yet walking means broken footpaths, resting means nowhere to sit, and public transport often feels like an afterthought. Cleaner engines won’t fix that. What we need are shaded streets, safe crossings, benches, and buses that work, so walking and public transport become real, everyday options.
If Delhi is to breathe again, it needs to move differently. It needs to stop centring large cars and SUVs, and start centring people. A city that values health, dignity, and daily life over traffic speed is a city worth living in.
That’s why I’m taking a pledge to ditch my car for one day in a week. For cleaner air, safer walking, and a people first Delhi.
