The MSC ELSA 3 shipwreck is spreading plastic pellets and other hazardous cargo across India’s coastline — from the shores of Kerala to Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka. While our communities face the possibility of poisoned waters, dead marine life, and destroyed livelihoods, the polluter hides behind silence.

This is a grave environmental and humanitarian crisis and our Indian taxpayers should not have to bear the cost for the negligence of a corporate giant!

We demand MSC:

  • Create and share a transparent action plan to clean up the mess with independent monitoring
  • Take financial liability for the loss of livelihood and marine biodiversity, and compensate our coastal communities.

This disaster knows no borders, and neither should justice.
