Urge the Delhi Government to provide safe drinking water!

DSC00267(2) (1)

The Delhi Government has announced plans to set up 3000 water ATMs to ensure affordable and safe drinking water. Residents holding an RFID Card issued by the Delhi Jal Board have access to 20 liters of free water each day.

Once the limit is exceeded, communities will have to pay for the excess water.

Limiting access to safe water, especially during peak summers, will adversely affect communities, putting lives and livelihoods at risk.

We are asking the Delhi government to:

  • Speed up the installation of the water ATMs announced in the Heat Action Plan
  • Set up temporary drinking water facilities until the ATMs are fully functional
  • Ensure easier access to water for the public at no cost
